Garrett CMA Interface

he CMA (Control Monitor Analyzer) Interface Module™ is a hardware and software interface that connects a Garrett walk-through metal detector to a computer network (typically a 10/100 Base-T Ethernet LAN). This allows remote interaction with the detector from a PC or network location.

🛠 Key Functions

1. Control (Remote Configuration)

• Change detector settings from anywhere on the network as if physically at the unit.

• Adjust sensitivity, program modes, thresholds and other configuration options.

2. Monitor (Real-Time Status)

• View real-time detector activity such as alarms, bar graph activity and patron throughput.

• Monitor multiple units simultaneously when each has its own CMA module.

3. Analyze (Statistics & Reporting)

• Collect and store data such as alarm counts and traffic patterns.

• Analyze historical logs (daily/weekly/monthly/annual trends) to support staffing and security planning.

📡 How It Works

• The CMA module connects to the detector’s internal communications port (often via RS-485) and to a LAN.

• A PC runs the CMA software (e.g., CMA Connect™) to communicate with the detectors, display real-time stats, and allow control/diagnostics from afar
