Product Information
The Pentax 17 is a newly released 35mm half-frame film camera . It was developed as part of Ricoh Imaging/Pentax's "Film Project" to appeal to a new generation of film photographers. By shooting on a half-frame format, you can get twice as many photos per roll of film.
Feature
Half-frame format: Captures two 17x24mm images on a single 35mm frame. This means a 36-exposure roll yields 72 photos. The camera is designed to be used vertically to produce smartphone-friendly vertical images by default.
  • HD Pentax HF 25mm f/3.5 Traditional Lens: This newly developed lens is based on the optics of the Pentax Espio Mini and is treated with an HD multi-layer coating for optimized image quality.
  • Manual zone focusing: Focus is set manually using a ring on the lens with six zones, indicated by icons (e.g., macro, single person, mountain).
  • Seven shooting modes: Includes a Full Auto mode, as well as more creative options like Bulb for long exposures and Bokeh to prioritize the maximum f/3.5 aperture.
  • Manual film advance: Features a traditional film advance lever and rewind crank, providing a tactile, nostalgic feel.
  • Built-in flash: A built-in flash has a guide number of 6m at ISO 100 and can be used in auto or forced on/off modes.
  • Exposure controls: An exposure compensation dial can be set to plus or minus 2 EV, and an ISO dial allows manual setting from 50 to 3200.
  • Filter threads: The lens has a 40.5mm filter thread for attaching filters.
  • Sturdy build: The camera has a classic film camera design with magnesium alloy top and bottom covers.
