The Pentax 645Z is a professional-grade medium format digital single-lens reflex (DSLR) camera released in 2014. At the time of its release, it was noted for bringing high-resolution medium format image quality to a more accessible price point. It features a large CMOS sensor and a durable, weather-sealed build, making it suitable for both studio and on-location photography.

  • Live View shooting: A Live View function is available, which was a new feature to the 645Z at its release, allowing for more precise composition.
  • Full HD video capture: Records video in H.264 format at 60i, 30p, and 24p.
  • 4K interval shooting: The built-in intervalometer can shoot up to 2,000 photos and compile them into a 4K resolution time-lapse movie.
  • SAFOX II autofocus module: Uses 27 autofocus (AF) sensors, with 25 being the more sensitive cross-type, for accurate focus.
  • Dual SD card slots: Supports SD/SDHC/SDXC memory cards, with compatibility for wireless Eye-Fi and Flucards for remote operation.
