The Cisco STACK-T1-50CM Stackwise-480 stacking cables can connect a combination of Catalyst 3850 stackable switches to form a single switching unit. The Cisco data cables are specifically intended to work with Gigabit Ethernet, while also making it easy to allow switch additions, deletions and redeployment without interruption. The technology adavacment on the Stackwise-480 is quite impressive. The cables have a bandwidth of 480 Gbps and behaves as a single switch while still incorporating the other member switches.
